How can I put items into SmartDoc for a patient?
There are several methods of getting a document into one of the SmartDoc areas:
- Create New Document - Using File | New option from the SmartDoc window to create a new document in either Word, Excel or PowerPoint format.
- Import - Using File | Import option from the SmartDoc window to pull in a document already created and stored elsewhere.
- Auto-generate - Based upon preference options located under File | Preferences | SmartDoc .
- Auto-save custom image printouts - Based upon the 'Save custom image print-outs to SmartDoc' setting, which is found under File | Preferences | Images .
- Reports - Any report in Eaglesoft (defined as anything resulting in a report preview window) can be saved to SmartDoc by selecting the SmartDoc button at the top of the report preview screen.
- Letters - Using the Letters tab from the SmartDoc window to generate and store a letter directly from SmartDoc.
- Scan - Using a scanner to acquire documents in either .jpg or .pdf format. (PDF scanning only available in Eaglesoft Version 14.00 and higher.) Note: Documents scanned into SmartDoc cannot be cropped or edited in any way. Items stored in .jpg format also cannot be rotated.
- Move Image Into SmartDoc - Accomplished by right-clicking on the image you wish to move and selecting the option Send to SmartDoc .
